International symposium and the Council of Deans from the Romanian Patriarchate in Arad

AVU`s „Ilarion V. Felea” Faculty of Orthodox Theology will host new events dedicated to the bicentennial during the 14-16 of June 2022 time period.

The first event will take place under the name: The Significance of Theology in today's Society and Culture. Theology professors from Germany, Austria, Greece, Poland, USA, Canada, Russia, Lebanon as well from national universities shall forward various perspectives on how the church is to relate itself to contemporary society and culture.

Concomitantly with this event, and with the blessing of Patriarch Daniel, the council of deans from all theology faculties under the Romanian patriarchy shall hold meetings. These will host specific information sessions destined to aid the harmonization and the increase in efficiency of theological education in rapport with the decisions of the Holy Synod as well as with the challenges faced by higher education today.
